Christmas 2010

We're a little late posting about Christmas, but better late than never! Michael had to work Christmas Eve but we went to Stan & Jan's by ourselves and had the traditional gneeokies there. After that the kids and I drove to Powell to take some to Michael so he didn't feel left out (and we wanted to see him anyway). We visited with him for a while and then went to Todd & Emily's for some delicious pizza and milkshakes. Michael came home around 9, we put the kids to bed and got busy! :) We were really excited for Christmas this year as far as the kids' reactions and them "getting into it" but we tried to talk a lot of Jesus being born and the real reason we celebrate. We had to wake Stetson up but when he came out to the living room him and Kandace were both excited. Kandace's main present was a trike and Stetson's was a leapster. They got awesome gifts from everyone and we are grateful for all we have! Christmas morning we went to dad & Brenda's for an aWeSoMe breakfast, and I mean delish. Breakfast burritos, cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, so good. Then we opened presents and had a traditional story about the Savior that dad always reads. My favorite thing about dads on Christmas morning was when he opened his present from Brenda. Its the same picture thats hanging in the office of the general young men's president's office. Its called "It's true sir-all present and accounted for" by Clark Kelley Price. Its of the strippling warriors where they've just returned from battle and they're being counted and its reported that thtey're all "present and accounted for." Dad has ALWAYS been really involved with the youth in scouting, young mens, all that. He is so dilligent in his callings and is a great example to me. This picture captures the real meaning of all we do in our church callings with the youth. ALL the youth are precious to Heavenly Father and he wants them all back!

After breakfast we went to Asay's for lunch and then Michael and I hosted our first Christmas dinner. We had ham, scalloped potatoes, yams, spinach salad, rolls, fruit salad and cheesecake for dessert. Michael did a ton and it turned out good.
