Trick or Treat!! Stetson's first Halloween

Here we are at the stake "Trunk or treat." Stetson was a penguin. We bought 3 bags of candy, and after about 15- 20 minutes, it was gone. There were a lot of kids there, but it was fun to see everyone...we saw some pretty cool costumes. I was suppoesd to be a football player. Michaesl called me the pirate/football player. Can you guess what Michael was?? Either can I.

Here's Stetson helping carve his first pumpkin!! We thought he'd dig right in, but he was pretty apprehensive of the whole thing, and was more interested in the spoon actually (That we were cleaning the pumpkin out with)

We decided to go albino with our pumpkins this year. :) Actually our neighbors had a bunch of extras so we got them from them.

goofy pics

I was trying to get a picture of Stetson standing without holding onto anything, (his latest trick) but as soon as he saw the camera he came towards it and started making these funny faces.

6 random facts

I've been tagged by Cara. I guess I'm supposed to put 6 random facts about myself. This is my first time being tagged, so here it goes.

1. I don't like chocolate that much...I mean its good, but I'm not crazy about it like most girls are.

2. I can't go to bed without putting chapstick on, and during winter, I can't go to bed without socks on.

3. I love taking baths (really hot, like turn your skin red hot) and used to tell people that when I got married, I'd rather have a jacuzzi than a dishwasher. HA HA HA, I totally take that back, but I do LOVE hot tubbing.

4. Right after I make the bed, I make a point not to sit on it or put stuff on it for the rest of the day so it keeps that "freshly made bed" look and doesn't have "dents" in it. crazy, huh?

5. I hate messes, and that's the main reason I don't like to cook.

6. I love to clean my shower (soft scrub works best) because its incredibly satisfying to me when its sparkly clean and you can't see any more soap scum. I have a specific step by step strategy for doing it, too. Let me know if you're interested. :)

Congratulations Cara on your new neice, she is BEAUTIFUL and I love that name, Ava. That was one of our girl names we had picked out.

And congrats to Shay on her beautiful new baby boy, Jay Mayes!! He was born October 25 and weighed 7 lbs.

10 months old today!!

You can see his 2 bottom teeth. He has 4 more on top.
I'm exccited because when we were home last weekend, Michael's aunt Vicki told me something noone's ever told me...Stetson looks like me. I still don't see it (except he does have my chin). But it felt great to hear it anyway. :)

Happy birthday dad!!

Today is my dad's 61st birthday. I'm sure he really appreciates me posting that on my blog. So here's a shout out to my dad. Happy birthday dad!! I love you.

Stetson LOVES to play with spoons. It must feel good on his gums because he could be entertained my spoons forever.

Dryhead

Here's Grandmpa Jan and Stetson at Dryhead. We went home last weekend so Michael could help with cows. It was fun because it was also Jared's(Michael's little bro) homecoming football game, so we got to go to that.

And I wanted to tell everyone, I've been trying to comment on your blogs but apparently I'm retarted because I can't get it to work. I'll keep trying. And I don't know how to rotate my pictures, sorry about that.

Great grandpa Monk and Stetson

Here's Great grandpa Monk and Stetson. Michael's grandpa was passing through Laramie yesterday for meetings and got to stop by and visit! :)
Stetson is crawling like crazy and putting everything in his mouth. He has 6 teeth (4 on top, 2 on bottom).

wedding pics

I had a request to post some wedding pictures, here you go Kim. :)
A lot of things have been going on lately. My dad was here last Wed-Sat, and Michael's fam (Jan, Jared, Christian, Jill & Carson) all came Friday, so we've had a full house! It was fun to see everyone. My dad and I went to the University Art museum and to a UW vs. BYU volleyball game. It was so exciting to go watch a college volleyball game. It made me want to play sooo bad. I'm sure they'll be recruiting me any day now...ha ha jk.
We're going home this weekend (general conference weekend) so Michael can help his dad bring the calves home from dryhead. For my non-wyoming friends and family, that's just a place in the Big Horn mountains where Michael's family keeps their cows for part of the year.
Anyway, I got a calling a couple weeks ago--I'm the primary choirister. It's pretty much my dream calling. I love it. My absolute favorite part is when I get to go sing with the nursery though...they are so funny. I just love it...but I need some more good ideas for activities because their attention spans are so short, so if you have any good ideas, please let me know!! I would love it.
Oh, and I'm training to become a fitness instructor on campus. I team teach step aerobics twice a week, so that's been exciting. If anything else, a wake up call to me that I'm in reeeeeeeeally bad shape and need to bust a move.
Lastly, our stake does the "Messiah" every year for Christmas, and so I'm doing that this year. Our first rehearsal was last night and it was so fun to sing again. I don't get to as much now a days. I used to try to get Michael to sing with me but that's pretty much like pulling teeth. Maybe Stetson will when he gets a little bit older...
Well I want to post more pics of Stetson so we're working on that so stay tuned... :)
Hope everyone is doing great...love and miss you all.
