Maybe I should explain my true feelings for icing. I love icing. So much that I've never had a cake without it and I never plan to. I think icing is just as fundamental as the cake, because believe me, I've had icing by itself...lots of times (pilsbury funfetti is best). I think icing is better by itself than cake by itself.
However, referring to my spouse as "icing on the cake" was probably a lousy choice of words. Just to set the record straight, even though you already know it, Michael is much more to me than icing on the cake.
