Arrow of light

Stetson received his Arrow of Light and is now in 11 year old scouts!  Stetson has loved everything about scouts and its been a pleasure watching him learn and grow in these great experiences.

Chickens

About a year ago, Matthew offered Michael some free chickens but we had nowhere to put them to they went to Jan's house while Michael bought supplies to get a chicken coop built but it never happened.  Fast forward to about a month ago when one of Michael's co-workers offered Michael several free chickens.  Michael couldn't pass this up so Daniel came over and they rigged the little shed in our back yard by the garden into a chicken coop.  They fixed the door, sealed all the cracks and put straw down and a lamp and water and whatever else.  I haven't actually been out there since we got them but the kids are doing a good job going out there and taking care of them.  I'm glad for them to have this opportunity and to have fresh farm eggs!  Hopefully we can keep this project going strong.

Helping on the farm

Michael is always wanting to go to the farm with the kids and do chickens and have them experience as much of it as they can.   I can't remember exactly what we were doing on the farm this particular day.  Probably working cows with Matthew.
