Chickens

About a year ago, Matthew offered Michael some free chickens but we had nowhere to put them to they went to Jan's house while Michael bought supplies to get a chicken coop built but it never happened.  Fast forward to about a month ago when one of Michael's co-workers offered Michael several free chickens.  Michael couldn't pass this up so Daniel came over and they rigged the little shed in our back yard by the garden into a chicken coop.  They fixed the door, sealed all the cracks and put straw down and a lamp and water and whatever else.  I haven't actually been out there since we got them but the kids are doing a good job going out there and taking care of them.  I'm glad for them to have this opportunity and to have fresh farm eggs!  Hopefully we can keep this project going strong.
