first water fight of the year

Yesterday when Michael was working in the garden, we thought it'd be a great idea to have the kids get their suits on and play with the hoses.  Stetson usually says he doesn't want to, but leave it to Michael to make him put his suit on and throw him in the sprinklers. :)  Stetson ended up having a blast and actually had his suit on by 9am this morning ready for round 2.  Michael used his super manly strength to hose me down a couple times and the crazy woman in my came out and I got him back...sort of.  Luckily he tripped when he was running away and I got an extra advantage until he got up off the ground.  Stetson took a picture of us all soaking wet but I'm not really wanting to post that. lol :)  yay for summer!!  This is my favorite season and I savor all of it--I never really look forward to fall even though I love it when its here.

Stetson's 1st t-ball game

And so it begins--since Stetson is starting kindergarten this year we are starting the beginning of many summer leagues, sports camps, school concerts, all of it.  I don't know if I'm ready for it!  This pic is my favorite of our first t-ball game ever...I was sort of a nervous nellie when he was up to bat and running to the bases because he's not sure where he's going and he likes to take his bat along with him to 1st base...at least to about half way there.  By the third inning he was finally getting the hang of it.  He's pretty timid when he's at bat and when he runs..probably just not sure about all of this.  Oh well, he sure is fun to watch.  Go Stetson & Carson!!

Thankful post

I most definitely need to be more grateful for what I have instead of complaining about the things I don't have, and I need to be grateful for things going great in my life, so here is my grateful list for May 18, 2012.  I am thankful for:

*3 beautiful healthly children.
*a hardworking husband who comes home every day with arms outstretched for a hug and kiss and who is still crazy about me (or at least acts like he is)
*really good health that allows me to clean my house, play with my kids, play basketball and do lots of other things
*a great ward who serves me and blesses me by example
*a home
*my husband's employment
*great doctors, immunizations, etc.
*my dishwasher
*my washer & dryer
*my understanding and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ
*the gift of prayer; knowing I can pray to my Heavenly Father whenver and for as long as I want
*air conditioning
*lysol wipes ha ha

Well I feel better.  I do have a lot to be thankful for and a grateful heart is a happy heart.
