Easter Sunday

I actually really like the way our pics turned out this year--I've given up on getting one where they're all looking and sitting "pretty"  but this is real life and shows my kids personalities to a "t" ESPECIALLY the one of just S & K.  Stetson is just goofy.  Thats how he is.  Always being silly, and Kandace's expression is a common one of hers.

I've had lots on my mind lately about this and that and didn't get in the "easter spirit" like I would have liked.  Sacrament mtgs are crazy and I hardly hear the talks, but did get to hear some of the last seaker's comments, something to the effect of letting Christ in and how he just wants to help us.  Isn't that the truth.  I love Jesus Christ and am so very thankful for his gospel that always gives me second chances and hope.

we went on an easter egg hunt

The weather was decent this year for the annual lovell easter egg hunt which was a pleasant surprise!  Stetson & Kadace were in a different age group for the egg hunt so I didn't get pics of them but I sure got some cute ones of Nella!  She was a little slow gathering her eggs but had a good time!

On Saturday, the easter bunny left clues in a scavenger hunt fashion to help the kids find their baskets.  They found them on mom and dad's bed and they were soooooo excited.

we dyed easter eggs

Last  year we somehow skipped easter egg dying (gasp) so I thought we better make a  conscious effort to not miss it this year. Kandace was so excited about easter this year--all the commercials really got her talking about bunnies, eggs, her easter basket, all of it.  It was hard to somehow squeeze in the real reason we have easter.  Kasi is her sunbeam teacher and I felt relieved and surprised when Kasi told me a sweet story from their lesson on easter Sunday.  Kasi was showing them a pic of Christ on the cross and Kandace said he died for us because he loves us and we can be resurrected and live again.  I guess these little squirts take in more than we give them credit for.
